Day 1. Arrival in Ulan-Bator 
Meeting at the airport/railway station and transfer to Gachuurt. 
Visit of the mongolian village on the banks of the river Tuul, full pension, overnight in yurt. 
 
Day 2. Departure : Oulan-Bator - Baga Gazaryn Chuluu. 5h30 
Baga Gazaryn chuluu is an astonishing formation of granite in the middle of the steppe. There, immense rocks of ocher color, form natural 
labyrinths. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 4. Gobi Desert. Departure: Tsogt Ovoo - Dalanzadgad - Yolyn Am. 5h30 
The Gobi desert, one of the world's great deserts, covers much of the southern part of Mongolia. Unlike the Sahara there are few sand dunes in he Gobi; rather you'll find large barren expenses of gravel plains and rocky outcrops. The climate here is extreme. Temperatures reach +40° C in summer, and -40 in winter. Precipitation averages less than 100 mm per year, while some areas only get rain once every two or three years. 
Strong winds up to 140 km/h at spring and fall time. Great Gobi National Park is one of the largest World Biospheres, with an area larger than Switzerland. It contains the last remaining wild Bacterian (two-humped) camels, wild ass, gazelle and a small population of Gobi bears, the only desert-inhabiting bear. 
 Yolyn Am is a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan saikhan Mountains of southern Mongolia. Yolyn Valley is the narrow canyon of a river that flows through Zuun Saikhan Mountain (2,816m above sea level). The gorge has sheer rock walls with a height of 200m in the central part of the gorge. It has been protected since 1965 and has an area of 70 square kilometers of strictly protected area. A spring is two or three kilometers long. 
The wind strongly flows through gorge and freezes into a thick corridor of ice that stretches along for a distance. Then we will go to the city of Dalanzagdad, capital of the province (aimag). Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 5. Departure: Yolyn Am - Ulaan Tsav - Bayanzag. 4h 
Bayanzag is located near by Bulgan soum (village), and archaeological finds of the Paleolithic Era, which are displayed in Natural History 
Museum in Ulaanbaatar, were found here. In the west the site is better known as the Flaming Cliffs (Ulaan Tsav), so named by explorer Roy Charman Andrews. In the same area he discovered petrified forests, remains of mammals and in particular the skeleton of a hornless rhinoceros, the largest known mammal in the world. Other finds in this location were complete dinosaur skeletons, eggs with a diameter of 10-15cm and hatch longs from the Cretaceous Period. And also there are saxaul forest known as Gobi forest. Day 6. Departure: Bayanzag - Monastery Ongiin Khiid. 4h 
Travel across the desert areas. The ruined monastery Ongiin Khiid lies in two halfs on the banks of the Ongiin River. It was destroyed by 
the communist purges of the thirties and is being restored by a number of monks. It is an amazing site and stretches across the valley in the 
mountainous area around the river. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 7. Departure: Ongiin Khiid - Arvaikheer. 5h 
Travel across the desert areas. Visit to the city of Arvaikheer, the capital of the Ovorkhangai province. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 8. Departure: Arvaikheer - Bat Olziit (Orkhon Valley) 3h 
Roads take us to Orkhon Valley that sprawls along the banks of the Orkhon River in Central Mongolia, some 320 km west from the capital 
Ulaanbaatar. It was inscribed by UNESCO in the World Heritage List as representing evolution of nomadic pastoral traditions spanning more than two millennia. We will pitch our campsite in the beautiful volcanic spot. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 9, 10, 11. Hiking, walking: Bat Olziit - Tuvkhun Khiid - Karakorum 
Every day, 3 - 4 hours of hiking. Camping at the banks of rivers and meeting nomadic families. If you wish, horse riding is possible, just ask to nomads. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 12. Karakorum 
Visit of the city Karakorum and the Buddhist monastery Erdene Zuu. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 13. Departure: Karakorum - Tsetserleg - Taikhar Rock. 4h30 
Visit of the de la charming town of Tsetserleg, surrounded by granite rocky mountains on the banks of the Tamir River. Internet Cafe for your mails from the steppe, market. Taikhar Rock: situated in twenty km from the town, this rock, high of 16 m, on the banks of the Tamir River. Meals cooked by our guide. Overnight in tent.

Day 14. Departure: Taikhar - Chuluut canyon 2h30 - Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. 3h 
The banks of this lake are forested and surrounded with the crater and streams of petrified lava that make the landscape very special. The lake and the volcano are included in a National Park of "Great White Lake". The lake is of 161 km ², located 2060 m above sea level is the result of the eruption of Mount Khorgo. We suggest walking tour - climbing the volcano Khorgo. Installation of the bivouac on the banks of the lake. Meals cooked by our guide. Overnight in ger (yurt) rented by nomads.

Day 15. Departure: Lake Therkhiin Tsagaan Nuur - Shine Ider. 4h30 
Shine Ider: Village with log cabins, such a « western » town. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 16. Departure: Shine Ider - Moron 4h30 
Moron is the capital of the province Khubsugul. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 17. Departure: Moron - Khatgal - Lake Khubsugul. 4h 
The lake Khubsugul is the largest fresh water lake in Mongolia by volume, and second largest by area (the first is the lake Uvs Nuur). Khubsugul Nuur is located in the northwest of Mongolia near the border to Russia, at the foot of the eastern Sayan Mountains. It is 1,645 m above sea level, 136 km long and 262 m deep. It is the second-most voluminous freshwater lake in Asia. Blue Pearl or Mother-Ocean, as it called by Mongols, is frozen 8 months per year (October - May). The town of Hatgal is at the southern end of the lake. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 18. Departure: Lake Khovsgol – Ondur Uul. 5h 
Campsite on the bords of the great Mongolian river Selenge. It is a major river in Mongolia and Buryatia (Russia). Its source rivers are the Ider River and the Delgermoron River. It flows into Lake Baikal and has a length of 992 km. The Selenge River is the headwaters of the Yenisei - Angara River system. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.

Day 19. Departure: Undur Uul - Bulgan. 5h

Day 20. Departure: Bulgan – Erdenet city – Monastery Amarbayasgalant. 6h30 
Erdenet is the second-largest city in Mongolia and the capital of the aimag (province) of Orkhon-Uul. 
Located in the northern part of the country, it lies in a valley between the Selenge and Orkhon rivers about 240 km of Ulaanbaatar, the capital. The road length between Ulan Bator and Erdenet is about 371 km. Mongolian-Russian Erdenet Mining Corporation was founded in 1978. It is one of the biggest Ore mining and Ore processing factory in Asia. At present, it is a fairly large complex processing 26 million tons of ore per year and producing around 530,000 tons of copper concentrate and around 4,5 tons of molybdenum concentrates annually.

Day 21. Departure: Monastery Amarbayasgalant - Darkhan city. 4h30 
The trek follows valleys from Erdenet to the magnificent monastery Amarbayasgalant Khiid, once one of the three largest Buddhist centres in Mongolia. It is located in the Iven Gol River Valley at the foot of the Burenkhan Mountains. It was built over a period of 10 years from 1726 to 1736. A few thousand resident monks served and studied at the monastery. The monastery was built to honor the memory of Zanabazar one of the great Buddhist leaders of Mongolia. During the Soviet purge the monks were persecuted, and some of the temples demolished. Restoration of the monastery began in 1990 after the fall of the Soviet Union. Today there are 50 resident monks, including ordained monks and those studying at Amarbayasgalant. Departure to Darkhan. Meals cooked by our guide or in local cafeterias, overnight in tents.
